Unlike many kratom companies that make bold, unsubstantiated claims, Kraken Kratom takes a refreshingly honest approach. Their mission? Simple:
“We strive to provide only the highest quality kratom online. We stand by our products unconditionally, and if you have any concerns, feel free to contact us anytime.”
Instead of claiming to be “the best,” Kraken focuses on product quality and customer satisfaction. That alone sets them apart — but does the brand deliver where it counts? Let’s take a closer look.
Founded in 2014, Kraken Kratom is one of the original names in the American kratom marketplace. Based in Portland, Oregon, the company has built a strong reputation with both casual users and experienced kratom connoisseurs.
Kraken was the first vendor ever certified by the American Kratom Association’s GMP program, a major trust signal that most vendors still lack. Its signature octopus mascot has become something of a cult icon among longtime buyers — and its quirky packaging often includes stickers, discount codes, and thank-you cards with every order.
Kraken’s catalog is wide-ranging and includes:
• Kratom Powders
Popular options like Bali, Red Maeng Da, White Maeng Da, Yellow Borneo, Green Malaysian, and Red Thai.
• Capsules
Available in most strains and also in specialized forms like extract-infused capsules.
• Crushed Leaf
Ideal for traditional tea brewing or DIY tinctures.
• Extracts & Enhanced Products
This is where Kraken shines. Their extract line includes:
○ Kraken Platinum
○ UEI Liquid Extract
○ Kraken Gold & Gold Reserve
○ Full Spectrum Softgels
○ Maeng Da X
○ Enhanced Borneo & Bali
These products cater to experienced users looking for more potency and faster onset.
The answer is… it depends.
Powder Pricing:
• 56g (2 oz): $15.60
• 112g (4 oz): $27.30
• 225g (8 oz): $53.99
These rates are above market average, especially when compared to brands like New Dawn Kratom, where you can grab 1,000g (1 kilo) for under $80.
Capsules range between $14.36 to $24.99
Extracts vary from $14.95 up to $49.99
There isn’t a clearly structured pricing model, which may make comparison shopping harder. Still, the quality and unique product range help justify some of the premium.
Kraken is coupon-friendly and often runs sitewide promotions, especially around major holidays. You can get:
15% off with codes like BETONKRKN
• Exclusive discounts by signing up for their newsletter
• Free same-day shipping on all orders (no minimum required)
Unfortunately, they don’t currently offer free samples, though they often toss in extras with orders like stickers or smaller products.
Positive Reviews:
• BBB Rating: A
• Average Score: 4.95 out of 5 (766 reviews)
• Common Praise: Excellent customer service, fast shipping, consistent quality, trustworthy brand
One happy customer said:
“Kraken Platinum Softgels are my favorite. The quality is consistent, and I love the extras they send.”
Another noted:
“They’re great for yellow strains. Reliable and potent, though a bit pricey.”
• Reddit Reviews: Mixed
Some users claim the powder doesn’t hit as hard as other vendors, and a few suggest better options exist for lower prices.
However, even among critics, Kraken’s enhanced and extract products received strong praise.
Final Verdict: Is Kraken Kratom Worth It?
Kraken Kratom may not be the cheapest, but it stands tall for transparency, compliance, and premium extracts. It’s especially ideal for:
• First-time buyers who want a safe, vetted source
• Experienced users looking for consistent enhanced products
• Anyone who values quality over bulk pricing
