While the name suggests that it is white, it comes from a green leaf, so it is inevitably a greenish color. However, it’s significantly lighter green than green kratom strains and red kratom strains. The veins of kratom leaves are white when the leaves are small and still developing. Smaller kratom leaves receive less sunlight because they are shaded by bigger leaves. This allows them to develop a different kratom alkaloid profile than Green Vietnam and Red Vietnam strains from the same tree.

However, all white kratom strains have different alkaloid profiles and different levels of alkaloid content than others. White vein kratom is often used in place of caffeinated tea or coffee, so it is easy to assume that all three plant-derived products contain the caffeine alkaloid. However, kratom does not contain caffeine, but rather 25 different alkaloids. The two most prominent alkaloids in kratom are mytragine and hydroxy-7 mitragine.
